NGO "All-Ukrainian Forum for Democracy" starts implementing the project "The Fourth Power: Impact, Challenges, Responsibility" with the support of the Media Development Fund of the US Embassy in Ukraine.
The main idea of the project is to hold a series of television lectures for journalists of regional and national media, students of the faculties of Journalism, bloggers and active public figures and more. Thanks to the developed videos of the lectures, the audience of the project, in addition to the participants of the lectures themselves, will also be viewers of Espresso TV, users of YouTube channel, facebook and other media resources.
The main purpose of the lectures is to improve the quality, objectivity, non-involvement of media content and, as a consequence, to increase the level of critical thinking and objectivity of Ukrainians' information and events. The public should be well informed about the events in the country and in the world, and the information received should be as honest, fair and fair as possible without distortion of the information. Public trust should be a priority in the media.
Lectures will be held in 6 cities of Ukraine (Kharkiv, Dnipro, Ostroh, Vinnytsia, Odessa, Kyiv), and the lecturer will be known by Ukrainian journalist and publicist Vitaliy Portnikov.
