On April 25, 2018, the exhibition “Modern Slovak Art. In Search of Identity.” was opened on the at the Great Lavra Bell Tower. Current artwork, graphics and sculptures are presented by the works of Alois Dragosh, Lucius Filimonova, Alexandra Geshavanderreau, Gordiani Glass, Pavol Gammel, Franko Yalshovsky, Zaboy Bohuslav Kulgavoy, Enzo Zoltan Nadia, Vladimir Plakhia, Peter Plavchan, Joseph Shumeka.
According to the curator, a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, Doctor of Philosophy Lyuboslav Mozi, the exhibition represents the current situation in European art, demonstrates the diversity of techniques and ideas reflecting an interest in man and nature.
The exhibition initiates a large international project, which involves mutual cultural exchanges between art institutions and artists in Europe and the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Reserve. Lavra Museums’ Funds can expand the view of Europeans about the versatility of Ukrainian history and culture. Besides, it will increase the tourist attractiveness of Ukraine for foreigners.
The exhibition will last until May 16, 2018.
