From June 23rd to 30th in the village of Kryvorivna in the Carpathians, the First International Forum of Eastern and Central Europe Via Carpatia will take place. For participants and guests, there is a rich cultural, intellectual and entertainment program. 1. Free Festival Week in the Carpathian Mountains
All events of the festival throughout the week, from June 23rd to 30th, will be completely free. The only thing you need to worry about in advance is the place of residence and the way to get there (by train, by car). By the way, the organizers of the forum thought over and this: on the site viacarpatia.org you know the list of estates, houses, hotels, and hostels, calculated on a different budget for different guests. All of them are located next to the Locations of the Forum.
2. Hutsul holiday Polonin’s summer
This is a true paradise for gourmets, lovers of all unusual and new. There are products of folk art, food, colorful national clothes, the fair of folk masters of Hutsulshchyna. Its products will be represented both by entrepreneurs and locals. Brynza, honey, mushrooms, Carpathian tea, folk clothes – everyone will find something for themselves. This year Poloninska summer will host the festival of Ukrainian producers “Made in Ukraine”. We guarantee that you will not go empty-handed.
3. Gala concerts of Ukrainian stars
The Music and Art Festival Sounds of Carpatia in the World Music style will take place from June 28 to 30, the plain sky between the Carpathian Mountains. Headlines: Marichka Burmaka, Oleg Skrypka, Alina Pash, Kristina Solova, KOZAK SYSTEM, Ivanka Chervinska and Igor Zakus, Jazz circle, Taraka, and others. On two stages more than two hundred musicians will perform.
4. A unique dance floor in the open air
Every evening the Forum guests are expected to dance. Two-hour music grids from Ukrainian DJs in fresh mountain air will not leave anyone indifferent. Modern electronic music “New voice of the Carpathians” will be presented by DJ O’Skrypka. The project “MUND” will offer guests modern electronics combined with authentic folk instruments (dramba, trumpet, violin). By the way, this will be the highest dance floor above sea level.
5. The best film festival premiere
The highlight of the festival TRANSCARPATIA will be the main cinema premieres. Impressions of the films “The Legend of the Carpathians”, “EKS”, “Traitor”, “Izi”, “When the trees fall”, as well as shows of retrospective films and short films and documentaries. In addition to Ukrainian films, foreign films will be presented, among which there are prizes at the Cannes and Berlin festivals. The shows will take place in two locations – two screens in conference halls and one large open-air screen. During the three days from June 23 to June 25, 20 films will be shown.
6. Excursions to museums and the reserve
For this purpose, the whole day of June 25th will be singled out. Excursions to the museums of Kryvorivnia, Verkhovyna, Krasnoyillya will be held. A sightseeing tour with a visit to the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve and numerous thematic excursions will be organized. 7. Rest in the summer capital of Ukraine
Kryvorivnya is a unique village in the Verkhovyna district where the summer vacations were held. Famous representatives of the Ukrainian intelligentsia, Ivan Franko and Mykhailo Hrushevsky, loved to relax here, visited Lesja Ukrainka, often visited by the artist Ivan Trush, and created the theater Gnat Hotkevich.
